Who doesn’t like getting something on their birthday? Something sweet, maybe something salty. Whatever your heart desires. Even better, who doesn’t like to get these things for free? I sure do. It seems I used to get a lot more free stuff when I was a kid. Or I guess my parents or someone else would pay for it.
These days though I’m still getting some good freebies on my bday. I just had to sign up for some loyalty program or email club, and now I get stuff each year. A lot of people know about this stuff by now, but it still amazes me that people don’t take advantage of it. Maybe you don’t feel like signing up for all the programs or maybe you don’t have the time to look through all the different places you can get free stuff?
Well, I’ve made it easy on you. I’m going to list my favorite ones. The ones that don’t take up too much time and are worth it (to me anyway). Hopefully you’ll find this list useful too.
The best birthday freebies!!
1- Grimaldi’s Pizza
I love pizza. Most people enjoy pizza, but what about a free pizza pie!? Sign up with the Grimaldi’s VIP newsletter club and you’ll get a coupon for signing up plus a coupon for a free pizza on your birthday. I’ve been getting free pizza on my birthday for the past 4 years from here. It’s a no brainer to sign up really. It’s free, and they’ll snd you coupons. Not to mention they have great pizza here. Delicious.
Just head over to the Grimaldi site and sign up for the VIP newsletter . That’s it! Then wait and you’ll get your free pizza coupon sent to your email address every year.
2- Jersey Mike’s Subs
Get your free sub on your birthday from Jersey Mike’s. I like to get the Hot Pastrami sub. Yum. I’ve been getting a free sub from Jersey mike’s for over 6 years now and they’ve only made their program better over the years. It used to be that it was just an email club, but now you can sign up for Shore points and earn points for each purchase you make. Then you can use those points for free stuff.
Just head over to Jersey Mike’s subs site and sign up for their Shore points rewards program. That’s all you have to do. You’ll get an email on your birthday for your free sub. Great stuff.
3- Captain D’s
If you sign up for the D’s club at Captain D’s you’ll get a free meal for your birthday. You get to choose from a two piece fish meal, 12 pc. butterfly shrimp, or a grilled tilapia dinner. All great choices. They send you the coupon to your email address within a week of your birthday and you have about until 2 week after to use it.
Just head over to Captain D’s site and sign up for the D’s club to get your freebie. If I remember correctly, you’ll also get a coupon for signing up for their D’s club, plus something on the anniversary date of your signing up.
4- Auntie Anne’s Pretzels
When I smell the pretzels I’m instantly pulled towards them. It happens every time I’m near a pretzel place. It’s just too tempting! So why not get a free pretzel on your birthday? That’s what Auntie Anne’s wants to give you. You’ll have to use the smartphone app to sign up for this one. It used to be through their email newsletter, but they changed it recently. The good part of the change is that now you can also earn points for purchases towards more free pretzels.
All you need to do is head over to the Auntie Anne’s site on your smartphone and download the app. Then you can sign up for the pretzel perks within the app and you’re all set to go. Free pretzels on your birthday, and you’ll earn a free pretzel every now and then, plus coupons.
5- Starbucks
I can’t put up a birthday freebies list without listing Starbucks. Every year on my birthday I’m awarded a free “anything” from Starbucks. That’s right, I can pick any one item I want, drink or food, and it’s free. I usually go for one of the expensive drinks and I make it a double (double shot if it’s a single).
It takes a little bit more work to join their rewards club, but if you buy stuff from there anyway then you should be taking advantage of their program anyways. With their newly refreshed Starbucks rewards program you can earn “stars” towards your next free reward by just buying whatever you buy from there and earning stars for it. Also, on your birthday you’ll get a freebie.
Just head over to the Starbucks site and sign up for their Starbucks rewards program. You do need a Starbucks gift card to get started. You can buy them at just about any value and reload them too when needed. Then you can use your Starbucks gift card to make the purchases so that you can earn the points (stars). You can also load gift cards onto your account and use their App and just pay with your smartphone. A little bit more work to get started because you need a gift card, but definitely worth it.
