Sometimes Comcast can be really annoying when you have a problem that you need fixed. The first thing anyone tries to do is go through the 1-800-COMCAST route in order to fix their problem. Without a doubt that is what you should try first. However, sometimes even that route won’t fix your problem. If you find yourself stuck trying to fix a problem that isn’t being resolved then you can try these other methods that I have had some success with.
Over the years I’ve had numerous problems with Comcast. Some problems seem to have simple fixes, like an error in the bill. However, there’s one thing for sure. Comcast is not looking out for you. Comcast is looking out for Comcast. Unfortunately this makes it almost impossible sometimes to get things fixed. From my experience it’s pretty obvious that Comcast will do whatever they can to get the most money out of you for doing the least amount of work.
Even as I write this article right now I have had an ongoing problem with my Comcast service that has not been resolved. I can’t seem to get to anyone that will actually do their job and fix my problem. This problem that I’m referring to has to do with a momentary black screen flashing problem that has been showing up on my DVR cable box for the past couple years. The cable box I have is an HD DVR model RNG200N.
How do you contact Comcast so they can fix your problem?
I’ve had success with facebook and twitter. You will need to find the Comcast facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/xfinity) or the Comcast Twitter page (https://twitter.com/comcast) Then you just post a complaint on their page. Make sure you let them know that you’ve tried to get your problem resolved and you’re still having problems.
What will happen now is that you should be contacted by a Comcast rep who will help you get in contact with the right person that can solve your problem. I have personally used facebook more than twitter, but I’ve read people having great success at both places.
Eventually an executive customer service representative with Comcast should contact you and help you with your problem. This isn’t always a fast fix though. I have waited over a week to finally get in touch with the Comcast rep, but when I finally do they are usually persistent and try hard to make things right. That doesn’t always mean things do go right. However, they do try hard to make it right.
The next time you have a Comcast problem that can’t seem to get fixed try it yourself and see what type of results you get when going through facebook. It seems to me that when you complain for the public to read about it they seem to jump out of their seats and want to help you. However, when you’re complaining in privacy on the phone, in my experience, it’s much harder to get what you want done fixed. Good luck out there.
