It’s almost time for good old Santa to make his rounds around the world and drop off all those great gifts that you’ve asked for all year. I wish I was young again so I could ask Santa for the things I want and have them show up under the tree like they did when I was a kid. Wouldn’t that be great? If I could go back in time this is what I would ask for.
1- Winning Lottery ticket
I usually play the lottery only when the price get so big that you can’t avoid not seeing it somewhere on the news. I also like to play around the holidays sometimes. I’ll buy my mom a lottery ticket because I know she really enjoys them and they don’t sell them in her state (Nevada has Casinos but no lottery, go figure).
So pretty please Santa, will you give me the winning lottery ticket this christmas? If you don’t want to go out and buy me the ticket you can just write down the winning numbers and hand them to me on Christmas. That should make for an easy gift to bring in down the chimney.
2- Pay off my debt
I still have a lot left on my mortgage Santa. That’s really my only debt. I’m not a big spender. I just like being comfortable, nothing extravagant. All I want for Christmas is for you to help me pay off all my debt. Wouldn’t that be great.
Thankfully I try to be responsible with my spending so this shouldn’t be too hard for Santa to pull off. Maybe I can wake up Christmas morning and find that the bank has been paid off and I own the house outright. What a Christmas that would be.
3- Trust fund from my long lost rich relative
Is it possible that I have a distant uncle somewhere that is related to me and has left me an enormous trust fund that I will only know about next year? Can you make that happen Santa? It would make things so much easier for me. I could go on all those trips I’ve been wanting to do but can’t afford the time or money. Wouldn’t that be great?
In truth, I’m very lucky to have so much in my life. Although extravagant financial freedom would be welcomed all I really want for Christmas is for everyone to be happy and healthy. Happy holidays everyone!
