I know what you’re thinking. There’s a huge gap in time between my first post and this one. Why such a long time between posts? Well it’s mainly because I run a few other websites too and things just got in the way.

Unfortunately I was hacked at one of my other sites that I had been spending most of my time at writing. Thankfully the site is clean now, but I did learn a valuable lesson in website security. I thought I was doing everything I could to be secure, but I really had no idea. These hackers can be relentless. I’ll be sure to share that experience with you sometime in the future when I’m in the mood to write about something a little off topic for Stock My Money.

The good news is that I’m moving my efforts to Stock My Money. So expect to see more posts here.

And a message to you hackers – You suck! Quit ruining innocent people’s websites and do some work of your own! Please never hack me again. ( yeah right)

I guess I could take it as a compliment that someone wasted their time hacking my site. That’s the bright side I guess. It’s not a fun thing (hacking) to deal with though. Not at all! Web security is serious stuff, and I have taken some extra steps since the hack to keep my site safe. Oh, and while we’re talking about serious stuff I should mention this…

Stock My Money Disclosure Policy

It’s important for me to disclose that this site is a for profit endeavor. Why? Well because first of all it’s the law and required by the FTC for all websites. Secondly, I believe in being completely transparent. I want to give you all the facts and then you can make your own decisions.

This website doesn’t have a dedicated Disclosure policy page yet. However, it will have one sometime in the future. When it does you can be sure to find the full disclosure policy at Stock My Money with this link. (link not active yet)

For now though, let me say that even though Stock My Money is a for profit business, the information on this site will never be swayed one way or the other because of money. I promise to put valuable information on this site that I hope will help you with your finances.

For Stock My Money to be successful I plan to share all the knowledge I have, both good and bad. I may tell you about some things that I don’t think will be beneficial to you, and then I won’t recommend them. I think knowing my opinion on those “bad” things is just as important if not more so than the good things that I do recommend.

If I haven’t disclosed it yet somewhere on the site you should always assume that each and every post at Stock My Money is made for profit. The same goes for every product I write about or link that I provide you with on the site. It’s true that some posts, links, and/or products etc may not be earning the site any commissions, however ultimately the site works together as a whole, and as a whole the site is ultimately trying to get paid.

I will do my best to disclose this information to you every time so you can be well informed and make your own decisions. I also promise to give you my honest recommendations and opinions on everything. I want our e-relationship to be as real as it can be.

In return I just hope you keep coming back to read some more here at Stock My Money. And maybe if you feel like contributing you could always join in on the conversation. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in the next post!
